This image of Darron Thomas, quarterback for the University of Oregon Ducks, was made during a shoot I did recently at the Moshofsky Athletic Center for 1859 Magazine.  I previously published a more spontaneous shot of Darron that we took on the practice field, but I’ve been holding back on the studio shots until the magazine hit the newsstands.  The magazine is out now, with a nice spread of both Darron and Ryan Katz of the Oregon State University Beavers, so I’m free to feature an image or two here.  This was probably my favorite photo from the session with Darron.  I had just shot a few close-in with Darron looking straight at the camera and, as I paused to adjust my lights, Darron relaxed and looked down, giving me this more pensive moment.
